Bueno, no es que el Ku Klux Klan raptase a la protagonista de la canción. Lo que ocurrió fue que Johnny Ramone le levantó la novia a Joey Ramone. Joey escribió la canción, en la que el KKK hace referencia a la ideología ultraconservadora del guitarrista. Después de aquello, dejaron de hablarse. Los dos murieron hace unos años, al igual que otro de los fundadores de la banda, Dee Dee Ramone.


Los Ramones son, junto a los Sex Pistols, la banda más importante del punk, movimiento nacido en los años 70. Canciones cortas, melodías sencillas, letras irónicas, y ausencia total de virtuosismo son las señas de una música en la que las guitarras distorsionan y no hay apenas punteos.
