Cantante de blues, rock, country, con una voz portentosa, representa perfectamente el espíritu de su época. Vivió rápido, fue adicta a casi todo, le puso mucha pasión y murió con sólo 27 años.


Grabó sólo cuatro discos (el último apareció después de su muerte), aunque nunca han dejado de editarse recopilatorios, directos, grandes éxitos y demás. A su segundo disco, Cheap Thrills, pertenece esta canción.
